Tattersall Park Update – 01/09/2025 – Developers delay proposal before Hoover council

Earlier this week, Jon Anderson with the Hoover Sun, published an article stating that “A proposal to build up to 355 apartments and condominiums in Tattersall Park near Greystone won’t be going to the Hoover City Council in January, Council President John Lyda said.”

According to the article, “The developers of Tattersall Park have asked for a one-month delay to allow more time to try to reach a more suitable compromise with residents who are opposing the plan, Lyda said.”

The article continues to add that “The proposal originally was scheduled for a first reading with the Hoover City Council on Monday, Jan. 6, and for a public hearing and vote on Jan. 21, but now, the first reading likely will take place Feb. 3, and the public hearing and vote will be set for Feb. 17, Lyda and City Clerk Wendy Dickerson said.”

As shared in a previous Tattersall update and the above article, EBSCO has asked for a continuance on their Tattersall Park proposal. What was supposed to go before the Hoover City Council in January has been pushed to a later date.

Why?

According to John Lyda, it’s to allow “more time to try to reach a more suitable compromise with residents who are opposing the plan.”

At this point, EBSCO and CR-Endeavors have NOT reached out to our community since the Planning & Zoning approval on December 16th.

This is why we will continue to stay vigilant because actions speak louder than words.

Our petition currently sits at 2,451 signatures. We could not be clearer with our voice when was speak as a community by saying NO to a conditional use rezoning.
