Tattersall Update – 01/23/2025 – Developer delays request

We have some positive news, everyone!

Back in October 2024, the Planning and Zoning Board voted 6 to 2 to approve EBSCO’s mixed-use development proposal for Tattersall Park. At that time, all indications pointed to it being presented to the Hoover City Council for final approval in February 2025.

However, I’m happy to share that this proposal has been delayed. EBSCO has once again requested more time to work on their proposal.

So, what does that mean?

The Hoover City Council considers items based on the applicants’ requests. These items can be postponed for as little as two weeks or as long as several months. In some cases, they may never resurface. Depending on the changes EBSCO decides to make, the proposal might even need to go back before the Planning and Zoning Board.

Currently, all indications suggest they plan to present it to the Council in October 2025. However, there’s still a possibility they could push it back even further.

This is a huge win! Our voices made a difference—so much so that they decided it shouldn’t go before the Council for final approval next month.

What’s next for Tattersall?

We need to remain vigilant. I will continue providing monthly updates on Tattersall—even if it’s just to say, “no news this month.” Regardless, I’ll ensure you’re informed every step of the way.

Thank you for speaking up, advocating, and believing that we deserve better than what was originally proposed for our community.

Your efforts have truly made an impact!
