Oppose EBSCO’s Proposed Rezoning and Support a Community-Based Entertainment District!!!
EBSCO has been quietly developing a plan for mixed-use development on the remaining 18 undeveloped acres in the middle of the Tattersall site. This property has been zoned as solely for commercial purposes since the Greystone project was annexed into Hoover in 1989. Previous attempts to rezone for multi-family residential use have not succeeded.
NOW EBSCO is seeking approval for 307 residential units- YES 307 residential units. They must obtain a conditional use approval from the City of Hoover. The matter is now set before the Hoover Planning and Zoning Commission on
Monday, October 14, 2024 at 5:30 p.m.
City Hall
100 Municipal Drive, Hoover.
Case number Z-1024-14
The application seeks approval to build:
- 170 “Active Adult Residential Units”
- 137 “Market Rate Multi-Family Units”
- A 125 room hotel
- 38,000 square feet of additional commercial buildings
Not OK with thoughtless development in our area? Then…
1. Sign this petition: https://chng.it/MRZcRc7Xtv 2.
2. Attend the zoning meeting which is Monday, October 14, 5:30 PM at 100 Municipal Lane
3. Email these councilmen and woman asking them not to approve this rezoning and instead seek to thoughtfully develop the area with current residents in mind, not just fill it with apartments, etc.

With enough community support, we can stop EBSCO from developing land that’s not in our best interest, only their$$$$.
